R. Sivaraman from Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu has drawn a 60 x 96 inch artwork of Michael Angelo’s La Pieta sculpture with the entire Bible inscribed in it. It took him 864 hours to complete this art work between the dates 13/08/2010 and 24/10/2010. Titled “The Open Bible”, it has 5 chapters of the Old Testament and the entire New Testament written in it. The handwritten portions of the Bible can be read with a magnifying glass. This portrait contains no lines; the letters themselves denote the light, darkness and the shadows.
