The World’s Largest Thumb Impressions Painting, measuring 2,040 square feet, was created by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Vijayawada Branch Office, using 1,12,388 thumb impressions contributed by 840 participants. The painting was made to promote awareness about Indian Standards and Quality Culture in India and to set a new world record at the event ‘BIS Walkathon’ held on 11th October 2025 at RK Beach, Visakhapatnam, India. The event was organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, Vijayawada Branch Office in association with Andhra University and was managed by Ladder Commercial.
